Abstract: <\/span><\/span><\/strong>With the introduction of the new search type (Smart Search) in\u00a0 Web of Science Core Collection, the names of the available searches have changed, but their functionality has not. <\/span><\/span>In this webinar, we will cover all search types in detail, including how and when to use them, how to combine them, and their specific usage considerations.<\/span><\/span> We will also cover Smart Search, Fielded Search (previously called Basic Search), Query Builder Search (previously called Advanced Search), Cited Reference Search (searching in cited bibliographies), and author search.<\/span><\/span> This webinar will be useful for both – those new to the platform and experienced users navigating new fields and terminology. <\/span><\/span>Answers to questions from the registration forms<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Abstract<\/strong>: <\/span><\/span>Web of Science platform indexes 21 databases, some created by Clarivate, others by other organizations, such as four regional collections (the Chinese, Korean, Latin American, and Arabic Science Citation Indexes). <\/span><\/span>In this webinar, we’ll cover all databases except the main Web of Science Core Collection.<\/span><\/span> We’ll pay special attention to the patent database Derwent Innovation Index, the dissertation abstract database ProQuest™ Dissertations & Theses Citation Index, the preprint database Preprint Citation Index, the grants database Grants Index, the regulatory documents database Policy Citation Index and the newest collection Research Commons.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span>Answers to questions from the registration forms<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Topic: Organization Profile in Web of Science<\/strong><\/p>\n

Abstract: <\/span><\/span>When analyzing an organization’s scientific activity, a key challenge is the significant number of variations of the same organization’s name that appear in publications. This can occur due to renaming, reassignment, or incorrect translations by authors. <\/span><\/span>For organizations with more than 10 publications indexed in Web of Science Core Collection, an organization-enhanced profile is created upon request.<\/span><\/span> This makes analyzing the organization in Web of Science and the InCites analytical system easy.<\/span><\/span> This analysis is essential not only for governing bodies for evaluation purposes, but also for scientists selecting project partners, and for undergraduate and graduate students choosing a place to complete their dissertation.<\/span><\/span> This webinar will cover how to analyze an organization’s publication activity in Web of Science and InCites, how to maintain an up-to-date profile, and how to apply for a profile if the organization doesn’t yet have one.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Answers to questions from the registration forms<\/span><\/span>
