MNU has access to JSTOR’s interactive research tool (beta)

MNU University has been selected to test the beta version of JSTOR’s interactive research tool. This tool uses AI and other technologies to enable scholars to deepen and expand their research using JSTOR’s trusted content and is designed to help you research, teach, and learn more effectively and efficiently. JSTOR’s interactive research tool can summarize text to help you quickly assess its relevance, recommend related content from JSTOR, suggest topics of similar interest for further research, and answer questions about what you are reading.
Registration is required when working with the JSTOR database.

Key details:
- Tool availability: All users at your institution can access the tool by logging into their personal JSTOR accounts. Users may also choose to toggle the tool off if preferred. A step-by-step guide on accessing and exploring the tool’s features is available on our support site.
- Account prompts: We’ll introduce reminders to encourage users to log in or create accounts to access the beta feature.
- Beta updates: As an evolving tool, you can expect regular updates and feature enhancements. On-platform notifications will keep users informed of new features and any temporary issues.
- Terms of use: This tool is governed by JSTOR’s Terms & Conditions of Use and your institution’s license agreement. Please review the tool’s Legal notices for further information.
Access: To explore the tool yourself:
- Go to jstor.org
- Log in to your JSTOR account and make sure you also have access to your institution.
- Run a search and open any journal article, book chapter, or research report to start using the tool. Try it out with this example
- Share feedback using the thumbs-up or thumbs-down rating. For thumbs-down ratings, you may provide additional details to help improve the tool.
