February 17

Topic: Organization Profile in Web of Science

Abstract: When analyzing an organization’s scientific activity, a key challenge is the significant number of variations of the same organization’s name that appear in publications. This can occur due to renaming, reassignment, or incorrect translations by authors. For organizations with more than 10 publications indexed in Web of Science Core Collection, an organization-enhanced profile is created upon request. This makes analyzing the organization in Web of Science and the InCites analytical system easy. This analysis is essential not only for governing bodies for evaluation purposes, but also for scientists selecting project partners, and for undergraduate and graduate students choosing a place to complete their dissertation. This webinar will cover how to analyze an organization’s publication activity in Web of Science and InCites, how to maintain an up-to-date profile, and how to apply for a profile if the organization doesn’t yet have one.                          Answers to questions from the registration forms

AI Insights feature has been activated on the platform EBSCO for MAQSUT NARIKBAYEV UNIVERSITY

Dear University instructors and Students!

Please be informed that the AI Insights feature has been activated on  EBSCO platform for Maqsut Narikbayev University – https://research.ebsco.com/c/f3q4q3/search.

AI Insights generates high-quality summaries of full-text articles, allowing users to quickly assess the relevance of an article to their research topic.  AI Insights feature highlights 2-5 key points for most documents. This standardized format for databases and extensive licensed content allows for a quick and consistent overview.

AI Insights is displayed when the corresponding full text is available. The Generate AI Insights button may not appear under some records, for example, when the article is too short. It is important to note that the AI tool is used with permission from publishers, so in the rare cases where such permission has not been obtained, AI Insights will also not be displayed.

A “natural language” search function is also available: this means that users do not need to be experts and know the terminology, they can formulate a search query in simple words, and the system is able to match such a query with its equivalents (terms) and give “expert” results (that is, users do not need to be experts in the search field to get “expert” results).

Please, attached is a flyer in English about EBSCO AI Insights, as well as links to EBSCO Connect articles on the topic of AI, where you can find a lot of useful information:
AI Insights simplifies the research process, increasing efficiency for users.
